Frequently Asked Questions

Can I increase the water pressure at home?

Even if your local water supply company’s water pressure is already maximised, you can still enjoy greater water pressure at home. Hire a licensed plumber to install a residential household water booster pump.

How deep underground should sewer pipes be?

The depth of bedding for concrete sewer pipes must be at least 100mm for pipes with a maximum diameter of 1,500mm. For those with diameters wider than 1,500mm, the minimum depth is 150mm.

Can I connect my stormwater to the sewerage system?

No, you shouldn’t. It should not be connected to your property’s overflow relief gully. This is because improper connections to the sewerage system can increase the risk for sewage overflows inside your property.
